A delightful small campground right on Lake Ontario. Very friendly seasonal occupants. Convenient to towns and shops, groceries. Laundromat nearby in Sodus. Plenty to do - Erie Canal cruises and boat rental, historic museums. Right in the middle of apple country. Would highly recommend if you are in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Rude people run the park. We paid for a "premium" site. It was fairly small and did not have a picnic table or fire pit. We asked for both, and got a table, but were told we could not have a fire pit because of the hay on the grass seed. There was gravel on the site (no concrete pad, despite being a premium site) and mounds of dirt behind us. It does not have cable TV despite what others may have written. They've installed cable outlets with the new electric boxes but no cable is available. No store, rundown office building, and the co-manager barks at people while "helping" them back in their site. By far, the worst campground we've ever been to. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
I am a little confused about this park. It appears all of the sites have concrete pads (many new) with a picnic table on the pad. Also noticed many new electrical hook ups. Friendly manager was quick and efficient. A guy who I suspect work camps, led us to our campsite and helped me back in. This is where the confusion starts. Our prime waterfront site was parallel to Lake Ontario with a beautiful view. However, we sat right on top of a rental cabin, looking into their window from the concrete pad. The opposite side of our motorhome was about a foot off the CG road, which led the the new and spotless bathhouse. Our neighbor behind us had about six inches behind us to wedge his truck in to park. This is a small CG that packs in as many campsites as possible, giving a very cramped feeling. Many seasonal campers who smiled, but did not go out of the way to make you feel welcome to "their" CG. Very quiet, more retirement community feeling with most campers in their RVs by 9pm. Also did not see one other person enjoy an adult beverage around a campfire or elsewhere. Though only two miles from Sodus Point, my wife and I would not stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Not too many amenities here, but the site was fine and restrooms and showers were clean. It was a "pull in" with enough room. Everyone here was super helpful when we had a mechanical problem. Has a great view of Lake Ontario. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very run down. Office old looking, landscaping not kept up. Our site was new concrete, though. Seem to have mostly seasonal and owners are happy at that. I'd avoid this one. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Mainly a seasonal campground for retirees, but children welcomed. Seasonal campers and managers very friendly. There are some very nice sites set aside for transient campers with full hook-up and cable, a cement patio and great view of Lake Ontario. Made to feel very welcomed by everyone we met there. Rest rooms clean. Campground clean. Pleasant find in the Woodall Camp Book. No planned activities. Would go back there if in the area. We camped here in a Truck Camper.
