We have stayed at Westcott Beach SP twice, both times on the 'plateau', which will be the focus of this review. The plateau area is relatively new, with larger campsites that can accommodate big equipment. While all sites are back-in, they are relatively easy to get your trailer and tow vehicle into. All plateau sites have 40A electric; no full hook-up sites, but there are several locations where you can fill your freshwater tank, including the dump station. As a newer camping area, it features OPHRP's current standard bathroom/shower design, which has two shower stalls on each side (men/women) accessed through the bathroom area, as well as two self-contained handicapped bathrooms with a shower, sink and toilet. Has an outdoor sink, which is handy for washing dishes. The bathroom facilities are well-maintained. As others have noted, the main part of the state park is on the other side of the road; there are additional campsites on that side that are closer to the lake, but they are not as spacious or level as the plateau area sites. Westcott Beach SP has a swimming area, but no camp store or concession stand; the privately-owned Westcott Convenience store is close at hand with firewood, groceries, propane and other camping necessities. Overall, a good experience if you're looking to relax or are visiting Sackett's Harbor or Watertown. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This campground provides plenty of activities for family campers. There is a large beach and day use area with a great playground that provides a lot of physical activity for children. There is also a vending machine and arcade building for day use. The campsites are medium size yet some are close to each other. Many sites are RV occupied and tend to block the views, but there are some inner sites for campers using tents. There are several comfort stations providing hot showers as well as potable water stations throughout the campground. There are a few electric sites. Quiet hours are pretty strict and may be enforced by other campers as well as a rare check-up by park officials. This campground is recommended for those looking for a quiet camping experience and an early lights out policy. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Westcott is a great place to camp. Every year we camp Memorial Day & Labor Day with a large group, over 10 trailers/tents. Love the beach, playgrounds. Everyone is very friendly, and we will return each year. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a state park with no amenities except extra large grassy sites and scenery. We were up on the "plateau" area which did not allow pets. The main campground is across the road on Lake Ontario. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
