Not worth $56 a night for sure but it is the only one there I could find. The owners are very friendly and try to help. There is no WiFi and I knew that going in. The park is mostly seasonals with children playing. The site they gave us first was a back in and I would have to unhook. Being only there for 1 night they gave me a longer site right next to the swimming pool ( the kids playing ). It was a grass site with some gravel. The electric was 30 amp, water was OK. The sewer was a white PVC pipe laying on the ground dumping into a larger pipe. I would look long and hard for another place if going through here. I did and this was it. We camped here in a Motorhome.
First the positives. The campground is only two miles from town and overlooks the beautiful Muskoka River. It's nice and quiet, the sites are large and the people are friendly. Now for the negatives. The park is gated but thre's no office which is a problem if you arrive unannounced. The washrooms are old and the floors are lifting. There's only one washer & dryer. You'd think there would be standards of appearance but the owners seem not to care. The first thing we saw as we drove in was piles of brush lying around. The planters were obviously neglected and almost everything was dead. We found we could not put our recyclables in the bin because they hadn't been emptied in some time. There were some old trailers that looked deserted and parked willy-nilly. We found the owner, who recently acquired the place, to be quite rude and the seasonal people we spoke to said they were quite fed up. We camped here a few years ago and loved it, now we will not come back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
