We were here for a International Telephone Pioneer Family Camper Rally.Great facilities for large Rallies. Only problem no shade all sites out in the open. Would return here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here for six nights with a national rally group. It was our first visit. We liked the shower/toilet combination since it also had a lavatory with it. The temperature of the water from the shower was bearable for the most part. The showers are free but push button. The lavatory on the other hand had a temperature control lever on the faucet. Free Wi-Fi is available at the complex and worked well. During the time we visited, the weather was very stormy. The lack of trees contributed to the high winds during the storms and the high humidity and temperature when the sun was out. All in all, it was a very enjoyable experience. We would not return however, only because the complex is off the "beaten path". We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed a week during a National Shooting event for my sons. It is a very nice campground with a restaurant, ponds, fishing, and any sport shooting you can think of. The only drawbacks were no swimming pool, no swimming allowed in the ponds, and no laundry facilities. Otherwise, a great campground and very family friendly. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

There is lots of space at this campground, as it is the home of several large Sprting shooting events each year. Big sites, big roads and great power and water are around. There were some tents camping around the sporting clays courses, but sites are mainly leased in 5 and 10 year increments. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an IDNR campground & trap/skeet complex with 2007 being the first full year for the campground; the trap/skeet activities presently do not occur every weekday or weekend; however, there are several major weeks / weekends through out the season. There are 750 water/electric/sewer sites and the remainder are electric only. There are handicap access camp sites in each camp area. The full hookup sites are huge! Your choice of 65' or 95' wide and ~ 100' deep! Full hookup areas have paved roads and sites, others have gravel sites. Grass and trees are still growing in due to how new the campground is (old strip mine area). Sparta is the closest town (~2 mi.) and has everything one could need (gas, food, dining, theater, WalMart, etc.). The rows of W/E/S campsites have a quail refuge behind which adds to the separation of sites. Stocked lake fishing is supposed to start this year sometime (no fishing as of this posting); they do not presently have access (roads, parking, paths) to the lakes built. Shower house has 20 combo showers / restrooms. The dump station has six stalls (3 x 2 lanes) with fresh water supply nearby. Will definitely return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
