We stayed for the winter and enjoyed the park. The front part of the park is for RV's and they have 30 and 50 amp service with gravel for the RV and a concrete patio area for your awning and vehicle. There is a Winter-Texan room for activities. Security was excellent. The hosts are on site full time, and there is a gate and security cameras. They have a wonderful camp dog named Tucker. Many of the Winter Texans are involved in a variety of ministry work both in South Texas and Mexico. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
The name of the park has changed to Melody Lane Christian Renewal Center at Texas Rose. The front portion of the property is for RV's and the back portion has Park Model units available for rent. This is a secure park with a front gate that is closed at night and controlled by a key pad. Winter Texans fill up most of the front portion of the park. Winter Texans also have their own recreation room. The park is quiet and there are only a small number of planned activities. Many of the guests are involved with mission work within the city and some travel to Mexico. The people are great and there are some rules that go along with a Christian park. The 4-6 month rates are some of the lowest in the Mission area. If you have a desire to serve the Lord, this makes a great home base. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a gated park that issues a card key for entry after dark. Very quiet and peaceful. This park is separated into 2 parts, the front part is regular camping while the back 2/3 of the park is part of the Melody Lane Christian Renewal Center where Missionaries and their families stay while helping the Mission. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
