This park is a hidden treasure. We boon-docked here for 2 nights. You can literally walk to the back of just about any campsite and go fishing in the river. The park was full, but the sites are quite large, and there are numerous trees in between sites. That being said, the park was very nice and peaceful. Great bike and hiking trails. No firewood sales on site, but there was a truck that came around to sell some. We used wood from fallen trees and had plenty for free. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

There are only 24 electrical sites. The sites need some upgrading with additional gravel. The pads are OK, it is along side the RV and the picnic table that need the extra gravel. Trailers and 5vers over 30 feet need to be careful as to what site they get. Trees, signposts and a narrow road make for some difficulty in backing into some sites. If you are in the area more than a day do bike the Old Abe trail and plan on seeing the Chippewa Moraine Ice Age State Recreation Area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
