Having read one of the other reviews, I thought this park can't possibly be that bad. Guess what: it is! The sites themselves have no shading or landscaping. Our electricity went off twice during our stay. The showers are abhorrent: literally an inch deep in crane flies and other bugs in the toilets and showers. We stayed only because we had forgotten about the July 4th holiday and every other place close by was full. When you go into the office to complain, they shrug their shoulders, or as one staffer said to me, "Lady, we make minimum wage. We've been through four owners in three years and there's not much we can do about anything." If you can't find another park, look for the nearest Wal-Mart. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed here last year, and it was really nice. It's a different story now. The pool & spa were closed M-Th (even though the temp was in the 90's), the game room was closed due to vandalism (with no date set for re-opening), the laundry room floor had a carpet of dead insects on it (disgusting), weeds and trash are all around, and large rain-made gouges in the dirt made for an uneven RV pad. Plus, the rates have gone up $20.00 a night from our last stay! The good things: the Pro Shop clerk was EXTREMELY helpful and nice, and the Wi-Fi was adequate. The only reason we'll stay here again is that it's close to our relatives and friends. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Since the last review this place is on the upswing. There is a lot of work being done here. I was told someone else took over the resort. We saw at least 30 fairly new golf carts. There is a lot of work ongoing. They are planting trees, putting in large drainage swells and grading etc. This park will be a 9 or 10 when complete. There is a new laundry and a club house. The small pond is filled, so you can use the paddle boats. We were there for 5 days and 2 were windy. But this is canyons and desert and is very common all over southern CA. There is Wi-Fi in the clubhouse. Our Verizon cell phone was very very week and our air card just worked. The hot tub and lap pool were heated. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very friendly and helpful staff! Plenty of room between sites! Wi-Fi available at the game room. Located in a very remote area. Will be a 10 after some trees grow! We will stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Called to confirm reservation and directions on our way to the campground and found their phone number to be disconnected. This is membership park, we stayed on our RPI Preferred membership. Other campers told us that the park is going out of business. There is a beautiful pool complex with lap pool, jacuzzi and very large swimming pool, the water in all three was freezing cold. Pool boy said they ran out of propane to heat the pool. There is nice playground equipment for children. Paddle boating is comical because there is hardly any water in the man made lake. There were no planned activities as promised because the activities director had quit about two weeks before we arrived. Lastly, the park is located in a extremely windy canyon, at least 25-30 knots! We camped for free because the only employee we would find was the pool boy. There was no one to check us in or out. No security, but all the people we met were family orientated. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
