We stayed here to be near all the RGV towns to see and S. Padre Island. Treated well by staff and put on nice level gravel pull-thru spot. Wifi good but had antenna right by our site so don't know if it would be good all over. A lot of permanents and Canadians and everyone in park was very friendly. Free citrus all over the place. Roads a little curvy and somewhat narrow for big rig towing car but possible. Laundry was clean but a lot of washers were out of order; said new ones were coming. This was better for us than the huge parks farther west in the valley but the Harlingen traffic could be very busy too. Would consider staying here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Our site was large and level with good quality power, water and sewer connections. The pool, hot tub and restrooms were very clean and comfortable. The sites and the park facilities were neat and well-kept. There's a big new dog park and other apparently recent upgrades. We felt right at home here. The new manager, was really welcoming, and introduced us to some of the other residents, who we became fast friends with. We joined in the regularly scheduled events, including dancing, bingo and potluck dinners. This is the way to snowbird - with a group of really nice people who know how to help newcomers fit right in. We will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was a great campground to come to: until this year. We have been coming for 7 years, but we won't be back. The new management seems friendly until an issue comes up: then you can't find him, and he didn't seem to know know what he was doing. The office girls handled most everything: they were friendly and tried to be helpful. This is a mobile home park, and new manager doesn't seem to like Rv'ers, or know much about them. We won't be back until they get new management. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Park is under new management and not a very good manager. We stayed in this park several times over the years and the old managers were very good and made everyone feel "at home". The new manager does not do anything and makes RV's feel like they are not wanted. The park is now run by the Activities Club and if you do not own a home in the park you are not wanted. We will not be back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
