We are looking to go to the Outer Banks over Easter week. Any suggestions or recommendations? Read reviews, just looking for more information. Thanx!

Camp Hatteras is nice but we would highly recommend one half-mile away--Ocean Waves Campground in Waves (near Rodanthe.) There are three campgrounds in a stretch of about one mile--the KOA, Camp Hatteras, and Ocean Waves. Ocean Waves offers EXACTLY the same paved spots and accoutrements as the other two but if about half the price. The people who run it are extremely nice and, because of its reasonable pricing, it stays full while the others are often half-empty. If you want to go, make reservations ASAP.
